TACOMA, Wash. – TRUE linkswear® (TRUE®), creators of golf’s most naturally comfortable footwear, today announces its lineup of professional brand ambassadors for 2022, including PGA TOUR players Ryan Moore, Joel Dahmen, Chris Kirk, Mark Hubbard and Dylan Wu; DP World Tour player Oliver Wilson; Korn Ferry TOUR player George Cunningham; and LPGA Tour legend Christina Kim.
Each of TRUE’s ambassadors embodies its mantra, “live true and be yourself.” From the freewheeling Dahmen and Kim’s larger-than-life personality to TOUR rookie Wu and four-time winner Kirk, they all came to TRUE because of its unrelenting commitment to comfort on and off the course and its unequivocal use of recycled and renewable materials in all its shoes.
“We don’t throw big paychecks at mindless athletes to simply wear our product or logo,” says TRUE President Jason Moore. “We’ve teamed up with genuine humans who also happen to be world-class athletes who not only love our product but also embody our brand and care about the future of our sport. We’re excited and proud to partner with these remarkable TRUE Ambassadors to propel the company ahead in 2022 and beyond.”
Jason Moore’s brother and TRUE co-founder Ryan Moore continues his now decade-long tenure as the company’s “Resident Ambassador.” One of the most decorated amateur golfers in the game’s history, Ryan Moore is also a five-time winner on TOUR, a former Ryder Cup team member and ranks 35th on the all-time money list. The father of three is still deeply involved with the design and engineering of every TRUE model, testing each pair to ensure they hold up to the rigors of the PGA TOUR.
“I’m honored to be a part of this incredible group of TRUE Ambassadors and to continue growing our family of supporters and customers around the globe,” says Ryan Moore. “I find it moving that each of them has their own TRUE story about discovering and engaging with the brand. Many of them found us on their own many years ago during their search for a better footwear solution for their professional and personal lives.”
A Pacific Northwest native and standout golfer at the University of Washington, Dahmen signed an exclusive deal with TRUE in 2020 not long after beating cancer and vowing to “do good in the world.” Suffering from chronic foot pain, Kirk discovered TRUE in 2012 and has been wearing his TRUE LUX Pros and Original 1.2s ever since. Kim tried TRUEs for the first time last year when the LPGA Tour banned metal spikes and now rotates between the LUX Knit, LUX Pro and Ripstop.
“I feel like I have a greater connection with the ground, better traction, and a truly athletic movement with my feet than I ever did with metal spikes, resulting in more confidence when I step over a ball,” says Kim. “Plus, my feet are so much happier! They can breathe, they can stretch out and they are not tired after a round of golf any longer.”
