Kapalua, HI –– TRUE ambassador Chris Kirk wins the first PGA Tour event of the year at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Maui.
Kirk fired a final round -8, 65 to hold off Saheeth Theegala, and stars such as World #1 Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, Jason Day, and Max Homa.
Kirk earned his invitation to The Sentry via a win at the 2023 Honda Classic, his first since the 2015 Crown Plaza Invitational. Kirk has experienced a career resurgence as of late––in last years 2022-2023 wraparound season he played in 29 events, making 19 cuts, earning eight top 25s, four top 10s, and a win at the Honda Classic, played at the challenging PGA National.
Now a 5-time winner on Tour, Kirk originally began wearing TRUEs back in 2012 while searching for a golf shoe which helped to mitigate his chronic foot pain. Last season, Kirk officially joined TRUEs roster of Tour ambassadors. Speaking to the ethos of TRUE products, Kirk describes how he loves the way TRUE shoes look, "they're very unique, but without being too flashy". On his way to victory Chris rocked the TRUE All Day Ripstop V2––the perfect shoe to traverse the hilly terrain at the Kapalua Plantation course.
